I purchased this book in a drug store one day because the title was so absolutely absurd. It was on a book rack next to me while I was waiting on a prescription to be filled. I've been studying the bible my whole life and you expect me to believe this book is going to allow me to learn it in a day?That was about three years ago. I'm now reading through this book for the third time. My plan is to read this book every single year for the rest of my life. I've purchased and given away five copies of this book and have recommended it to a dozen others. It is unquestionably the absolute best, most insightful, powerful, connect-the-dots, bible reading aid I've ever come across. Chuck Missler does an amazing job of bringing to light the power of God's word and he does it in a way that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The book is laid out in 24 chapters, which Missler expects you can read through in about an hour per chapter. That's where the name of the book comes from. It's almost impossible to put down and it gives you a far deeper appreciation and understanding of the scripture than you ever could have had by reading through it on your own.I'd give this book six stars if I could. If you're curious about the scriptures, do not hesitate to purchase this one. It's probably the best money you could ever spend. Absolutely incredible.
The book is based on the widely popular video series, which as it name states, consists of 24 1 hour videos that go through the books of the Bible (the videos are available on YouTube). I loved the videos so much that I decided to purchase the book to go with it.One of Chuck's favorite expressions is “The New Testament is in the Old Testament concealed. The Old Testament is in the New Testament revealed.†This book (and the videos) do an incredible job of proving this out. Chuck Missler is a great bible scholar, a great teacher, made me look at things a new and different way. I have already read most of the Bible, but Isaiah and Ezekiel have me stumped. That was my reasoning behind this purchase, but as I read every chapter of this book, and by the way, if your studying at all it's going to take you WAY MORE THAN 24 HOURS, but every moment you spend is SOOOOO WORTH IT. you will look at your bible in a new and fresh way. At least I did, and I've been a bible reading Christian for 30 yrs.
This book introduced me to Dr. Chuck Missler!! My sorrow is that I did not find him till the end of his life. Since I bought this book, have bought other books & materials by him. I am also Very Thankful Some of his material is on UTube. He has enriched my life & and others I call family, so very much!! I recommend this book to anyone who wants a deeper understanding of the Bible!! I have never seen or heard a teacher like him in all my life. He could make me understand Physics in the Bible & I have always avoided Science & Math. He was an incredible man & shares his understanding!! Please read this book!!ðŸ™ðŸ»ðŸ’–
